Goodnight World is designed to feel different from the moment it begins. It isn’t built to excite or overstimulate. It is created to gently slow things down. Every part of the experience is thoughtfully crafted to reflect the core purpose of the App: helping children wind down.
There are no fast cuts, no loud colours and no overwhelming visuals. With soft tones and unhurried pacing, the experience encourages calm, not stimulation - gently guiding children toward rest. It unfolds slowly, with quiet interactions that allow children to settle into each story at their own pace.
Each night offers a limited number of stories, creating a natural pause instead of endless scrolling. Parents can set the number of stories anywhere between 1 and 5, with an average screen time of around 15 minutes.
Even the main menu is designed as a cozy little neighbourhood, filled with cute, friendly characters. As children move through the experience, these characters slowly settle down too - lights dim, activity fades and the miniature world grows quieter, almost as if the app is preparing for sleep alongside the reader.
There are no scores to chase, no rewards to rush toward and no pressure to keep going. Nothing is designed to keep children hooked for longer than they should be.
